What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Head of Content position at Pact?
DIGITAL HEAD OF CONTENT Reports to: Chief Digital Officer · Full-time · In-person · Boulder, CO
LOCATION
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Boulder, CO. On-site presence is part of how this role works — you'll have access to our in-house photography and video studio.
ABOUT PACT
Pact makes GOTS-certified organic essentials — underwear, tees, dresses, and beyond — built on the belief that what you put closest to your skin matters. Our platform, Dress Yourself Well, frames getting dressed as an act of self-care. Everything we make, say, and show is rooted in that idea.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We believe content is the engine of our brand. At Pact, we are building an always-on content ecosystem that engages, inspires, and entertains our community across organic and paid touchpoints. We already have a strong foundation for producing high-performing paid creative. This role is about extending the impact of that work—thoughtfully adapting and evolving it across channels and formats without losing what makes it effective.
The Head of Content is the connective tissue across our content ecosystem—someone who understands what we have, what we need, and how to move content seamlessly between paid and organic in a way that feels intentional. You'll work across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and paid channels — adapting, editing, planning, and occasionally shooting original content in our on-site studio here in Boulder.
This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role. You'll report to the Chief Digital Officer and work closely with our paid media team, in-house studio, and external creators. There's a lot of creative latitude here — and a brand with a genuine point of view to work with.
CHANNELS YOU'LL WORK ACROSS
Meta (Feed, Reels, Stories) · TikTok · YouTube & Shorts · Pinterest · Paid creative (Meta, TikTok, Google)
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Content planning & inventory
- Keep a clear picture of what content assets we have, where they live, and what they've been used for
- Spot the gaps — what channels need that we don't yet have — and build a plan to fill them
- Manage a forward-looking content calendar across paid and organic
- Brief the paid creative team and external creators with enough context that they don't have to guess
Channel adaptation & editing
- Take paid creative and adapt it for organic — adjusting hooks, pacing, format, and feel for each platform
- Take organic content and shape it into paid-ready creative when there's something worth testing
- Edit video and static assets in Adobe Premiere, CapCut, and Photoshop
- Make sure everything going out is on-brand, correctly formatted, and captioned
Studio & original content
- Use our on-site Boulder studio to create net-new content when existing assets aren't the right fit
- Plan and run shoots independently — concept, prop, shoot, edit — with Pact's visual world in mind: real, grounded, lived-in
- Build a rhythm of in-studio content that feeds the calendar consistently
- Coordinate studio time with external shoots so nothing gets backed up
Platform knowledge
- Be the internal go-to for what works on each platform — formats, specs, what the algorithm rewards right now
- Write and maintain channel-specific briefs and editing guidelines the team can actually use
- Own Pinterest as a discovery-led channel — understanding how it serves a different intent than social-first platforms
- Stay current on platform changes and flag anything that affects how we should be showing up
Operations & coordination
- Keep the content pipeline moving — coordinating between paid media, studio, and external creators
- Own the asset library so content is findable, reusable, and not being recreated unnecessarily
- Track what's performing and bring those learnings back into how we plan and produce
- Share regular updates on pipeline and channel performance with the CDO
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Around 5 years of experience in content, social, or creative operations — ideally within a DTC brand in fashion, beauty, home, or lifestyle
- Genuine platform fluency across Meta, TikTok, YouTube/Shorts, and Pinterest — you understand what performs on each and why
- Comfortable editing video in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut, and working in Photoshop for static assets
- At ease behind a camera — able to plan and run a small studio shoot independently, with a natural eye for real, unpretentious imagery
- Experience with a DAM or content library system — you know how to keep a large volume of assets organised and accessible
- A working understanding of paid creative: hook structure, CTAs, creative testing, and how the creative decisions you make affect what happens downstream
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in your content workflow — for repurposing, captioning, scripting, or ideation
- Comfortable working alongside a paid media team and understanding how organic and paid can feed each other
- Organised enough to hold a lot of moving parts without things getting dropped
- An editorial eye that helps you look at any piece of content and know how to make it work somewhere else
- Comfortable with data — you use channel analytics to make decisions, not just to report on them
- Based in Boulder, CO or genuinely open to relocating — being on-site is part of how this role works
