Your Impact & Responsibilities: Specimen Collection: Perform venipuncture and skin punctures to collect blood samples from residents, ensuring minimal discomfort and maximum safety. Clinical Accuracy: Label and track all specimens with meticulous attention to detail, following all facility and laboratory protocols. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff. Team Collaboration: Partner with the nursing and medical teams to coordinate lab draws and ensure timely delivery of samples for processing. Supply Management: Maintain a clean and well-stocked workstation, ensuring all equipment is sterile and ready for use. Qualifications: Certification: Current, valid California Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT I or CPT II) license. Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing, sub-acute, or hospital setting is preferred.
