EVS Supervisor

Job Opening: EVS Supervisor Location: Diablo Valley Post Acute Position Type: Full-Time Starting Wage: $30/hour Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package included General Purpose: The EVS Supervisor coordinates and performs housekeeping services to ensure a high standard of cleanliness both inside and outside the community. This role involves assisting staff in completing housekeeping duties as needed. Essential Duties: Supervision: Supervise housekeeping staff and coordinate staffing schedules to ensure the proper cleaning of offices, public areas, residences, and community grounds. Conduct regular inspections of all resident and public areas. Cleaning Programs: Plan and schedule cleaning programs, including but not limited to annual cleaning, move-in preparations, and carpet cleaning. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, order all necessary equipment and supplies for the department, and ensure their safe handling and storage. Training: Assist in scheduling and conducting training sessions and department meetings for housekeeping personnel to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures. Safety Compliance: Ensure staff is trained on the safe handling of cleaning chemicals in accordance with department guidelines, and comply with local, state, and federal safety standards including MSDS, OSHA, and EPA regulations. Assistance: Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning duties as needed, including cleaning floors, restrooms, kitchens, resident apartments, and other areas. Budget Monitoring: May assist with monitoring the budget for the housekeeping department and prepare resident charges/billing for housekeeping services when applicable. Safety Practices: Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, preservation of equipment, and promotion of safe working practices. Supervisory Requirements: This position has supervisory responsibilities and requires strong leadership skills to effectively manage the housekeeping staff and maintain high cleanliness standards.
