Job Opening: Director of Staff Development (DSD) – LVN Victorian Post Acute | 2121 Pine Street, San Francisco, CA Pay: $45.00 per hour Type: Full-Time Why Victorian Post Acute? As the Director of Staff Development, you will be the architectural force behind our clinical excellence, shaping the skills and culture of our dedicated care team in a supportive, professional environment. Your Role & Impact As the DSD, you are the bridge between regulatory compliance and high-quality bedside care. You will collaborate directly with the Administrator and DON to oversee the full lifecycle of our staff—from recruitment and orientation to advanced clinical education. Key Responsibilities: Education & Training: Design and execute facility-wide orientation and in-service programs. Identify educational gaps through facility rounds and survey results to ensure staff competency. Talent Management: Lead recruitment efforts, manage employment documentation, and coordinate payroll/benefit programs. Safety & Compliance: Act as the lead for Infection Control surveillance and coordinate all required Fire and Disaster drills. Leadership: Foster a culture of enthusiasm and cooperation. Supervise staff, assist with professional development, and provide direct patient care when necessary to lead by example. Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of in-services and certifications in accordance with Department of Health regulations. What We’re Looking For Licensure: Active California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license (Required). Experience: Proven background in staff development, clinical education, or nursing leadership within a healthcare setting is highly preferred. Soft Skills: A professional, well-groomed leader who can inspire a team and build trust with residents and families. Expertise: Deep understanding of Licensing and Certification standards and the ability to translate regulations into actionable training.
