Wages: $20.27 - $27.25 base pay with a $2.00 weekend differential

What You'll Be Doing:

• Maintain a safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary kitchen and cooking area.
• Prepare tasteful, well-balanced meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guidelines accurately.
• Prepare special diets, including pureed foods, as required.
• Record food temperatures during meal preparation and service.
• Maintain proper sanitizer levels (quaternary solution) in sanitizer buckets.
• Assist with meal service and distribution to residents.
• Clean cooking areas, equipment, and serving carts after use.
• Ensure all cleaning schedules are consistently followed.
• Present food in an attractive and appealing manner to residents.
• Work cooperatively and harmoniously with staff across all departments.
• Supervise dietary staff when required and work effectively under supervision.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility for one year preferred.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.
