This is a full-time, on-site Controller role based in Portland, ME. The Controller will oversee and manage the company's financial activities, including preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Responsibilities include conducting financial analysis, managing accounts payable and receivable processes, supervising payroll, and providing financial insights to support decision-making. The Controller will also be responsible for optimizing financial processes and collaborating with leadership to support the company's strategic goals.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and preparing financial statements
- Experience with tax compliance and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical skills for conducting financial analysis and forecasting
- Proficiency with accounting software and tools, including ERP systems
- Leadership and team management skills, with experience in managing accounting staff
