The Help Desk Specialist provides first-level technical support to employees and/or customers by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. This role ensures timely, accurate, and courteous assistance while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and system uptime.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the first point of contact for technical support requests via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
* Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, mobile devices, and applications
* Escalate unresolved or complex issues to higher-level IT support teams as needed
* Document incidents, solutions, and procedures within the help desk ticketing system
* Assist users with account setup, password resets, and access permissions
* Perform routine system checks, updates, and basic maintenance
* Educate users on proper system use and IT best practices
* Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred)
* 1–2 years of experience in a help desk is a plus
* Basic knowledge of Windows and/or macOS operating systems
* Familiarity with common office software, hardware, and networking concepts
* Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools is a plus
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing hardware or software malfunctions.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $36,200.00 - $71,800.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
