Role Overview:
As an Activities Assistant at Pacific View Assisted Living and Memory Care, you will be responsible for organizing and leading engaging activities that enrich the lives of our residents. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our care team to ensure that our residents enjoy a vibrant and fulfilling daily experience. Working on-site in Bandon, Oregon, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and lead recreational programs and activities that cater to the interests of residents.
- Encourage resident participation, ensuring that all activities are inclusive and engaging.
- Collaborate with the care team to integrate each resident's preferences and needs into the activity planning.
- Assist in the coordination of special events, seasonal celebrations, and community outreach activities.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities, ensuring resident comfort and well-being.
Qualifications:
You're a great fit if you have the following skills.
- Experience working in a senior living environment or similar role.
- Strong communication skills in English and a passion for engaging with seniors.
- Ability to plan and execute a variety of activities that meet the diverse interests of residents.
- A team-oriented approach with excellent collaboration skills.
Bonus If You:
- Have experience in recreational therapy or a related field.
- Possess certifications related to senior care or activity coordination.
- Have experience with organizing community events or engaging with local artisans.
