Shop Help (Rolling Stock)

Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm
Job Summary:
Pacific Veneer is seeking a reliable and hardworking Shop Help team member to support our Rolling Stock operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining equipment, assisting with repairs, and ensuring smooth day-to-day shop functions. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on forklifts and other rolling stock equipment
- Assist with inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks
- Keep shop areas clean, organized, and safe
- Support mechanics and supervisors with daily operational needs
- Move materials and equipment as needed using appropriate tools
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with forklifts, maintenance, or mechanical work preferred
- Basic understanding of tools, equipment, and shop practices
- Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Willingness to learn and take direction
Work Environment:
- Industrial shop setting
- Exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- Safety equipment required and provided as needed
