What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Helper/Parts Runner position at Taylor Shellfish?
The position of shop helper is based out of the Shelton Maintenance Shop. The Shop Helper is a position that will be used in many areas within the maintenance shop.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving and checking in freight
- Inventory checks
- Wash company vehicles and maintain building appearance
- Parts pickup and delivery
- Safety coordinator for department
- General maintenance assistance
- Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must be physically able to lift and handle sixty pounds.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have clean driving record.
- Must be able to speak and understand English.
- Must wear proper safety gear when necessary.
- Must work well with other crew members
- Must be capable of understanding and following instructions from the manager and being accountable to him/her for work.
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions at various times of the day and night.
- Must be able to create work orders using Mpulse software.
Salary : $17 - $21
