Metal Industry Production Supervisor – 3 Openings
Vandergrift, PA (30 miles NE of Pittsburgh)
$80,000 – $90,000 Relocation Assistance
Day Shift | Monday–Friday (flexibility required)
A leading metals manufacturing organization is seeking Operations Leaders (Production Supervisors) to join its team in Vandergrift, PA. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance across assigned production areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations with a strong focus on safety and housekeeping standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and improve throughput
- Supervise and support hourly production teams, providing technical guidance as needed
- Partner with maintenance and engineering to improve equipment reliability and uptime
- Ensure equipment availability to meet on-time delivery and quality targets
- Coordinate closely with internal and external teams to support plant operations
- Develop and promote cross-training opportunities within production processes
- Support troubleshooting and modifications of electrical/mechanical systems as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
· 4 years of manufacturing supervisory experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or
a technical field
- Experience in metals, steel, or heavy industrial manufacturing required
- Experience with PLCs, motor control centers, drives, and power distribution
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints
Preferred Skills
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing hourly workforce
- Solid organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Additional Details
- Primarily day shift, but must be flexible for off-shift/weekend coverage as needed
- Overtime and premium pay available for additional coverage
