Full Job Description
Our client is a manufacturing company operating in an ISO-certified environment and is seeking a skilled Maintenance – Facilities Technician to support facility operations and production efficiency. Under the direction of the Sr. Production Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving buildings, equipment, and grounds while ensuring a safe, clean, and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds
- Complete carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry, and minor glazier tasks
- Repair floors, walls, roofs, doors, locks, hinges, sinks, showers, and other facility components
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on HVAC systems, air compressors, and filters
- Service appliances, kitchen equipment, and emergency equipment
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and setting up or breaking down workstations and cubicles
- Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas including shop, office, breakrooms, and restrooms
- Operate forklifts and serve as a designated Forklift Trainer for selected staff
- Coordinate with outside vendors and assist in obtaining quotes when higher-level repairs are needed
- Maintain accurate work logs and documentation
- Activate/deactivate building alarms and respond to alarm calls as required
- Follow all manufacturing safety practices and company procedures
Qualifications:
- Prior facilities or maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to pass and maintain forklift certification
- Willingness to serve as a Forklift Trainer
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn and follow manufacturing safety practices
- Reliable full-time attendance required
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for the duration of the assigned shift
