Job: Shipping Specialist
Pay: $22 per hour
Location: Tigard, Oregon
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
This is a temp-to-hire position!
Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Shipping Specialist. This position is ideal for someone with shipping experience and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain and process product orders.
- Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments.
- Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
- Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints (whether in person or over the phone) that arise and work to solve them.
- Quote and disperse P.O.'s to customers.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to use a computer MRP System
- Knowledge of shipping and packaging processes
- Ability to cross-train in other departments
- Ability to read shipment schedules
- Attention to detail and precision.
- Desire to learn and have pride in their work.
- Prior shipping experience with a manufacturer.
- Sit-down forklift experience REQUIRED!
Pay: $22 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
