Full Job Description
Pacific Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a key leadership position with a manufacturing company in Tigard. This role oversees the company's accounting operations and works directly with the Company President on financial reporting, planning, analysis, and strategy. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and able to identify financial opportunities and solutions that help move the company forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and daily accounting operations
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and cash flow reports
- Manage inventory, cost accounting, job costing, and margin analysis
- Assist with forecasting and financial planning
- Monitor cash flow and identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities
- Maintain internal controls and ensure accurate financial records
- Coordinate with the company's outside CPA firm and support audits
- Identify and implement accounting and process improvements
- Supervise, mentor, and develop one accounting team member
- Partner with company leadership on financial and operational decisions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of senior-level accounting experience
- Controller, Assistant Controller, or comparable experience strongly preferred
- Manufacturing and inventory accounting experience strongly preferred
- Advanced QuickBooks and Excel skills
- Strong MRP/ERP experience
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Experience with financial statements, reconciliations, forecasting, and month-end close
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think strategically and proactively beyond traditional accounting responsibilities
