PRS is hiring an Experienced Diesel Mechanic to support operations at both the NS Buffalo Yard and the CSX Blasdell Yard, located just 15 minutes apart in the Buffalo, NY area.

PAY AND EARNING POTENTIAL:

• $70,000 annually in hourrly pay with overtime
• Weekly pay with consistent hours and reliable income

SCHEDULE:

• Training conducted on daylight hours
• After training: steady daytime schedule
• Typically 8-hour shifts with overtime opportunities
• Flexibility to help shape your schedule

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Maintain and repair a fleet of yard spotter trucks and diesel equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel, hydraulic, air, and electrical systems
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep operations running smoothly
• Work hands-on in a fast-paced rail yard environment
• Travel between NS Buffalo Yard and CSX Blasdell Yard as needed
• Assist in other maintenance and operational areas as needed
• Company will supply truck to go between the terminals.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Minimum of 2 years diesel mechanic experience
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, air, and electrical systems
• Preventative maintenance mindset
• Your own tools (tool allowance provided)
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a drug test, and Physical Strength Test.
• Other conditions will be discussed during the interview process.
