Who We're Looking For:
We are seeking a motivated Underground Tech I to join our Micro Trenching crew in our Henderson, NV location.
Key Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- Perform daily vehicle inspections for DOT compliance
- Ensure safety of Pacific Network Solutions employees and public safety while operating Pacific Network Solutions vehicle
- Responsible for load securement to comply with federal, state, and local requirements
- Ensure proper maintenance is being followed
- Use pull-behind hydro-vac to safety hydro excavate utilities
- Trench, place duct, pull cable, and direct bury main-line and drops
- Perform restoration back to existing conditions
- Constantly communicate with crew members
- Maintain accuracy in all reporting functions
- Assist with safety events and is constantly on the lookout for changing conditions
- Assist Laborers with hand digging, potholing, handhole installation and restoration work when needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Crew Lead or Foreman
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order and that all systems are working correctly
- Perform daily vehicle inspections for DOT compliance
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Some exposure to: Construction Drawings, Operating Equipment, Earthwork
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to climb ladders, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- A valid Driver’s License or CDL is a plus.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Good listening skills and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and background screening.
- Must be local to market
