About the Role


Salary:

Responsibilities

  • Obtain history and examine patients to obtain information about their physical condition.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic test results.
  • Applies clinical knowledge, and evidence/science-based medicine guidelines to evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment plans for a variety of clinical ailments within the scope of independent practice, including prescribing and referring patients as appropriate.
  • Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination.
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
  • Prescribe therapy or medication.
  • Instruct and educate patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
  • Order medical and laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Documentation using EMR must be completed in a timely manner, labs signed the day received and paperwork signed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by individual’s supervisor.
  • Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team in managing patients.
  • Work collaboratively with non-physician providers. Will have an assigned physician to provide additional clinical support.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or hold an appropriate Visa to apply.
  • Must be eligible for or hold an unrestricted license in the state you choose to practice in.
  • WA (Washington)
  • AK (Alaska)
  • OR (Oregon)
  • MT (Montana)
  • Possess or be eligible for a DEA license, NPI number, and have prescriptive authority.
  • Completed an accredited PMHNP program with a national certification.
  • NACC Board certification required
  • Board eligible/certified by the time of employment.
  • Must be eligible to participate in Medicare/Medicaid programs.


Required Skills

  • Must have graduated from an approved PA-C/ARNP program.
  • Experience in primary care, hospital, or skilled nursing home or equivalent preferred, but new graduates from respective PA-C or ARNP program are encouraged to apply.
  • Preferred - Experience working as a psychiatric nurse practitioner for at least 1 year.
  • Preferred - Desire and passion for integrative psychiatry.
  • Psych NP must be comfortable performing psychotherapy in addition to medication management.
