What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kaizen Assosiate position at Pacific Manufacturing?
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
Perform all requested fabrications and safety issues; deal with all issues involving the interior and exterior of all PMO facilities while maintaining safety and quality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Daily Duties
Prioritize daily work requests and attend to various errands (new buildings, vendors, hardware stores, etc.
Respond to any call regarding safety.
Facility Maintenance
Repair and maintain all inside and outside lighting (including machinery lighting), exit signs and emergency lighting, Machine And-on Lights.
Repair and maintain plumbing: Flush kits, faucets, clogs, leaks, sump pumps, etc.
Repair and maintain entry doors: door handles, closers, add windows, door replacement.
Respond to HVAC issues, assess issue repair if able.
Respond to Dock door and Dock plate issues, assess issue repair if able.
Repair concrete flooring and diamond plate flooring.
Interior wall and ceiling cleaning (dust and cob web removal)
New Equipment Projects and Existing Equipment Move Projects
Open new equipment shipments and place on floor.
Add and replace new and existing Weld equipment utilities: Air and Water supplies, Machine lighting, And-on lights.
Support PE and Japanese support on all new project installs: Jig modifications, brackets, machine modifications.
Fabricate all tables, carts, racks, any special request, etc.
Anchor Machinery and Machine guarding
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED. Welding Certificates preferred
Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical functions
Previous experience with lathes, mills, and grinders, the ability to mig, tig arc weld
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 32 pounds.
Moderate physical effort is required to move containers.
Ability to walk, stand, and carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, and climb ladders and equipment.
Ability to operate in repetitive motions.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Inside conditions not required to remain outside.
Exposed to heat at times during summer months.
Exposed to some processing oils and weld sparks.
Upper noise levels requiring hearing protections.
Safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hat are required at all times.
Kevlar sleeves and gloves will be provided to prevent exposure of steel and weld sparks onto skin.
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
