What are the responsibilities and job description for the EDI Assistant position at Pacific Manufacturing?
ASSIST WITH ALL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH DAILY ORDER PROCESSING. Process all daily EDI transactions, including order entry, advance shipping notices, and invoicing. Enter forecasts and orders into ordering system. Print customer tags for shipment. Compile orders to be delivered to floor associates insuring that each order consists of appropriate customer tags, shipping instruction documents, skid labels, and manifests. File paperwork after order shipment. Print withdrawal, in-process, and safety stock kanbans as necessary. Monitor inventory levels of supplies, such as paper, ink, kanban holders. Enter information into database. FILING!!! REQUIRED: COMPUTER (DATA ENTRY) SKILLS, ORDER PROCESSING. EXCELLENT ORGANIZATIONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS. ABILITY TO WORK WITHOUT SUPERVISION TO MEET REQUIRED DEADLINES. VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE. KANBAN SYSTEM EXPERIENCE. ABLE TO LIFT 50LBS. PREFERRED: EDI EXPERIENCE, MINIMUM 1 YEAR SECRETARIAL/FILE MANAGEMENT, MICROSOFT EXCEL, MICROSOFT WORD EXPERIENCE, AND ORDER PROCESSING/CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE
