As part of this evolution, the company is building out its strategic pricing capabilities. This newly created role will play a critical part in shaping pricing strategy, driving margin expansion, and enabling more data-driven commercial decisions across the business.
Operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, the Director of Strategic Pricing will act as a key partner to commercial, finance, and operational leadership—bringing structure, insights, and rigor to how the organization prices its products and services.

This is a highly visible role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the organization’s strategic pricing framework, including policies, tools, and governance
- Partner with commercial leadership to drive pricing strategy across products, customers, and markets
- Identify margin expansion opportunities through price optimization, segmentation, and value-based pricing approaches
- Analyze pricing performance, market trends, and competitive dynamics to inform decision-making
- Support bid strategy, customer negotiations, and complex deal pricing
- Build scalable pricing models and analytics to improve speed, accuracy, and transparency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, costing, operations, and sales to align pricing with cost structures and business objectives
- Establish KPIs and reporting to track pricing effectiveness and drive accountability
- Lead pricing transformation initiatives, challenging legacy practices and embedding best-in-class capabilities
- Build and develop pricing talent, processes, and infrastructure as the function evolves
Key Qualifications:
- 6 -15 years of experience in pricing, commercial finance, strategy, or related fields within manufacturing, industrial, or adjacent sectors
- Proven experience developing or transforming pricing strategies, frameworks, or capabilities
- Strong understanding of pricing methodologies (e.g., value-based pricing, segmentation, price waterfall, discount management)
- Demonstrated ability to partner with sales and commercial teams to influence pricing decisions and outcomes
- Experience driving margin improvement and revenue optimization initiatives
- Strong analytical and modeling skills; experience with pricing tools, ERP systems, and data analytics platforms
- Track record of success in high-growth, fast-paced, or transformational environments
- Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels (“player-coach” mindset)
- Prior leadership experience or clear potential to build and lead a team
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
