Operating at significant global scale, the organization supports complex commercial, industrial, and technology-driven facilities through advanced cooling, controls, energy efficiency, and lifecycle service capabilities.
As part of a major growth initiative, the organization is seeking a Director of Business Development and Strategy to help shape and accelerate its approach across semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, and other advanced technology environments.
This is a highly visible, customer-facing leadership opportunity supporting an established business with significant near-term growth potential. The successful candidate will help determine where the organization should focus across the High-Tech market, identify emerging customer and infrastructure needs, and influence how the broader portfolio evolves to support the industry.
The Director will operate at the intersection of market strategy, customer engagement, business development, product management, and portfolio planning. They will engage directly with senior customers and industry stakeholders, serve as the voice of the customer internally, and translate market insights into clear strategic priorities. The role will lead through influence, partnering closely with commercial, product, engineering, marketing, service, and operational teams across a complex global organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organization’s High-Tech market strategy across semiconductor manufacturing and data center environments
- Engage with semiconductor manufacturers, data center operators, engineering firms, EPCs, consultants, and technology partners
- Understand evolving customer priorities, infrastructure requirements, investment plans, and technology roadmaps
- Serve as the voice of the customer internally and translate external insights into actionable business priorities
- Identify growth opportunities across cooling, HVAC, thermal management, controls, automation, energy efficiency, and other mission-critical facility systems
- Evaluate opportunities across new customers, applications, technologies, and geographic markets
- Partner with product, engineering, commercial, service, and operational teams to align resources around priority opportunities
- Provide market intelligence to influence portfolio strategy, product development, and long-term investment decisions
- Support strategic customer planning without directly owning transactional sales or deal execution
- Represent the organization at customer forums, industry conferences, trade shows, and relevant associations
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10 years of experience supporting semiconductor, data center, High-Tech, advanced manufacturing, or mission-critical infrastructure markets
- Experience in market strategy, market development, vertical leadership, business development, strategic accounts, product strategy, or portfolio management
- Strong understanding of the facility infrastructure required to support semiconductor fabs, data centers, or similarly complex environments
- Experience with HVAC, cooling, thermal management, building automation, controls, electrification, power, or other critical infrastructure solutions
- Demonstrated ability to engage senior customers and translate market needs into internal strategy
- Experience identifying growth opportunities and influencing execution across a matrixed organization
- Relationships across semiconductor manufacturers, data center operators, EPCs, engineering firms, consultants, or technology partners preferred
- Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders
- Global experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
