WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

• The Restaurant Manager supervises the work activities of the entire food service department to ensure that food & beverage service is at the highest level. The Restaurant Manager will maintain all standard operating procedures for the front of the house restaurant department. He/she will screen applicants, train new associates, evaluate, coach & counsel, schedule, and discipline associates.
• Maintain warm, hospitable guest relations in all guest contact.
• Responding to individual guest needs as they occur.
• Manage operations and staffing according to forecasted and actual needs of the hotel and outlets.
• Supervise food and beverage service staff, including counseling, termination, performance evaluations, training, and development.
• Assist in the development of the annual budget. Monitor performance against plan.
• Establish and maintain cost control systems for staffing.
• Ensure quality services are rendered in meeting guest needs.
• Schedule staff according to labor standards and forecasted occupancy.
• Enforce procedures for the acceptance, security, and return of guests lost and found items.
• Maintain productivity and labor cost goals.
• Monitors and trains food & beverage service staff in the preparation and presentation of menu items.
• Ensures that the food & beverage staff is learning and growing as service professionals.
• Immediately alert hotel management of emergency situations via all communication avenues.
• Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis. Â

• Knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors. Â
• Knowledge of all hotel departments and functions. Â
• Good mathematical and computer skills. Â
• Ability to accurately use various Microsoft Office, PMS, and accounting software. Â
• Ability to lift and pull a minimum of 20 pounds. Â
• Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Â
• Ability to be a team player. GREAT IF YOU HAVE Â
