The CPUC Compliance Excellence Team supports PG&E’s commitment to regulatory compliance, transparency, and continuous improvement. The team works cross‑functionally to manage customer complaints, respond to data requests from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), track compliance activities, and support regulatory audits and reporting. The Compliance Excellence team plays a critical role in ensuring PG&E meets regulatory obligations while strengthening customer trust and operational accountability.
Position Summary
The CPUC Compliance Excellence Internship position is located within the Compliance Excellence organization supporting regulatory and customer‑focused compliance activities. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to regulatory compliance processes, customer complaint management, data validation, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
The intern will support ongoing work related to CPUC customer complaints, formal and informal data requests, regulatory tracking, and other compliance‑related initiatives. Work may include data analysis, documentation review, process support, and preparation of materials for internal and external regulatory engagement.

- Coordinating with internal teams to gather information needed for regulatory responses

Responsibilities
- Customer complaint tracking and analysis related to CPUC requirements
- Data collection, validation, and organization for CPUC requests
- Development of compliance summaries, dashboards, and tracking tools
- Review of regulatory correspondence and supporting documentation
- Maintenance of compliance records and evidence repositories
- Process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ad‑hoc compliance support activities as assigned

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, Data Analytics, Legal Studies, or a related field at an accredited University
- Students must be continuing their education towards their degree during and/or after the internship
- Interest in regulatory compliance, public utilities, or government oversight
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with data and documentation
- Ability to analyze information and identify gaps or inconsistencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Salary : $25 - $35
