Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher to help us in our preschool class in summer. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. This position is available from June 8th to August 15th 2026.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that foster literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social development aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
- Plan and execute engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to support individual learning plans and ensure consistent communication about child welfare and development.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently to promote smooth transitions and maintain discipline through effective classroom management techniques.
- Incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Support children’s emotional well-being by fostering social skills, behavior management, and positive interactions within the classroom setting.
Skills and qualifications
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and early childhood education best practices.
- Minimum of 15 ECE units.
- Proficiency in working with children with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessments.
- Ability to implement teaching strategies across various subjects such as literacy education, math (including Montessori methods), physical education, and childcare fundamentals.
- Demonstrated experience in toddler care, daycare settings, or private preschool environments.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques that promote positive reinforcement and emotional regulation.
