Junior Accountant

Pacific Companies is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our office at our HQ in Aliso Viejo, CA (moving to Irvine)! We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist who wants to join an award-winning company! As an Account Specialist, you will be a valuable team member providing a variety of financial and accounting support for our team!

Job Responsibilities may include

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Assist with yearend Workers Comp and Financial Audit
• Assist with payroll registration of company in new states
• Prepare files for AP invoices, checks, and daily deposits
• Assist with reconciliation of American Express Credit Card
• Assist with new projects in relation to Finance
• Performs credit check for new clients as needed
• Maintains Financial accounts reconciliation and GL’s

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
• Understanding of QuickBooks and bookkeeping software
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong computer processing skills and the ability to adapt to new programs
• Resourceful and creative process improvement skills
• Detailed oriented with exceptional self-awareness and accountability
• Plus if experience in; Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks, Bullhorn, and Paycom

Education and Experience

• 1 years of experience in finance, Accounting, and AP/AR
• BA or BS, Accounting degree preferred
