What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Post Op RN position at PACIFIC CATARACT & LASER INSTITUTE?
OBJECTIVE
- Assure that the PCLI philosophy of quality and caring treatment of patients and staff is upheld in all daily surgical activities.
- In a positive and cheerful manner, oversee and evaluate all pre and post-op activities.
- Work with the team to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the smooth flow of patients throughout admission, anesthesia and discharge phases of each patient’s surgical experience.
- Maintain effective communication within TLC, Surgery, Clinic and other departments of PCLI.
REPORTS TO
Site Manager and Corporate Surgery Manager
STATUS
Part-time, On Call (up to 23 hours/week)
SCHEDULE
Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Depending on work location, employee may be required to report to work between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on scheduled days.

LICENSURE REQUIRED
- RN state licensure for the state(s) in which he/she practices
ADDITIONAL TRAINING
- CPR certification (required)
- ACLS certification (optional)

- Climb stairs

- Ability to lift/push 50 pounds
- Reach and stoop
- Ability to work long hours with limited breaks.
