Responsibilities
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their needs and preferences
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and retail math calculations
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain store merchandising standards, including stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
- Provide excellent customer service through friendly communication and phone etiquette
- Supervise or mentor junior staff when required, ensuring smooth store operations
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and store policies regarding product sales
Skills
- Strong retail sales experience with proficiency in cashiering and POS systems
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer interaction
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is advantageous
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is preferred
- Ability to conduct product demos effectively to educate customers
