Budtender

Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the cannabis industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to educate customers about our products. This role involves assisting customers in selecting products, managing sales transactions, and maintaining a welcoming retail environment. Bilingual abilities and prior retail experience are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and expand our reach. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Educate customers on product offerings, including effects, dosages, and consumption methods
• Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory management
• Conduct product demos and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and stock rotation
• Enforce store policies related to age restrictions and compliance regulations
• Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing information about products and store hours
• Support supervisory staff with training new team members and overseeing daily operations as needed

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; familiarity with grocery store or similar retail environments is a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Ability to perform product demos and upselling techniques confidently
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
• Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail sales best practices is beneficial
• Must be at least 21 years old (or as per state regulations) and able to comply with all legal requirements related to cannabis sales

Pay: $18.90 - $19.00 per hour
