Who We Are:
PacBay is a Christ-centered, college-preparatory middle and high school committed to forming courageous, thoughtful, faith-grounded leaders. We are intentionally small and deeply relational: students are known, challenged, and mentored.
We believe middle school matters profoundly. These are formative years when students begin discovering how they think, how they solve problems, and who they are becoming.
At PacBay, academic rigor and character formation are woven together. Our classrooms are marked by ambition, joy, and engagement. Our teachers are mentors who guide students not only toward mastery, but toward maturity.
The Role:
We are seeking a STEM teacher who:
- Teaches integrated middle school STEM (science, math foundations, engineering design, and/or technology)
- Cultivates curiosity through hands-on, inquiry-based learning
- Encourages experimentation, problem-solving, and collaborative thinking
- Holds high expectations while supporting students with patience and care
- Integrates critical thinking and ethical reflection into STEM learning
- Partners closely with colleagues and families
- Contributes meaningfully to the life of the school
At PacBay, STEM teachers help students see that precision and creativity, logic and imagination, faith and learning belong together.
Faith & Mission Alignment:
PacBay is rooted in the historic Christian faith. Candidates must personally profess faith in Jesus Christ and actively participate in a historic Christian tradition (Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, Anglican/Episcopal, or similar).
Faculty model a thoughtful, lived faith — intellectually serious, spiritually grounded, and gracious in posture — while supporting our Christ-centered mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field (CA Credential or Master’s preferred)
- Experience teaching middle school students
- Strong instructional practice and classroom leadership
- Excellent communication and relational skills
- Commitment to Christian education
If you are energized by igniting curiosity, building foundational skills, and investing deeply in the lives of young adolescents, we would love to hear from you.
