What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Driver- Class A position at PACIFIC AG RENTALS LLC?
SUMMARY: Sanitation Drivers are a core part of our business. They clean, pump, and service portable restrooms using company trucks and tools. Drivers follow all safety, DOT, and company rules. They travel to customer sites, treatment plants, and branches. Some positions may require out-of-town travel under our season flex program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
OPERATIONS:
- Load, unload, deliver, pick up, pump, wash, sanitize, service, and restock portable restrooms and related sanitation equipment at customer sites according to company and safety standards.
- May also assist in supporting an assigned sanitation driver with service details of restroom units at customer sites.
- Responsible for accurate reporting of all route service.
- Helps with yard work, loading, unloading, and sanitation equipment tasks.
- Assist with cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a safe and orderly yard.
- Transport and properly dispose of waste at approved treatment plants in compliance with treatment plant policies and procedures.
- Provide professional, courteous, and respectful customer service always.
- Respond to basic customer service questions and report customer concerns or service issues to a supervisor.
- Safely operate company trucks in compliance with all DOT safety and traffic regulations.
- Maintains pumper truck by checking lights, tires, mirrors, fuel level, water, oil temperatures, and clean vacuum pumps, etc.
- Maintain the cleanliness of company trucks, tools, and equipment.
- Promptly report any safety concerns, vehicle issues, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance needs to a supervisor.
- Performs all other operational needs, tasks, and duties as assigned professionally and efficiently.
- Must be familiar with methods and procedures for securing cargo in or on the commercial motor vehicle he/she drives. 49 CFR 391.13(b)
- Must follow Hours-of-Service rules and keep accurate logs/ELD. 49 CFR Part 395
- Perform daily vehicle inspections (DVIR), including checking tires, lights, hoses, fluids, and required safety equipment. 49 CFR 396.11
- Safely operate company trucks in compliance with all DOT safety and traffic regulations.

- Follows all DOT, FMCSA, state, and local regulations and adheres to company driver policies and safety requirements.
- Completes all required safety and job related training.
- Must pass a pre-employment medical physical.
- Must maintain FMCSA physical qualification standards. 49 CFR 391.11(b)(4) (This applies to A, B, and Interstate CMV)

- Have a valid driver’s license for the assigned level.
- Maintain insurance eligibility to operate company vehicles and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Must maintain a DOT medical certificate if driving across state lines. 49 CFR 391.41(a)(1)(i) (This applies to A, B, and Interstate CMV)
- Must be familiar with methods and procedures for securing cargo in or on the commercial motor vehicle he/she drives. 49 CFR 391.13(b)
- Ability to use mobile device applications
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.
- Ability to respond to basic inquiries and present information effectively to customers, co-workers, and management verbally and in writing in English.

TRAVEL:
This job requires NO overnight travel and withing local service routes within close proximity of regularly assigned work locations.
SANITATION DRIVER LEVELS:
CLASS A
- Route Service Commercial Pumper Truck Driver
- Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
- Must be 21 years old.
- Must have a Tank/Tanker endorsement.
- Must not have an air brake restriction.
- Must not have a manual transmission restriction.
- Can drive truck tractor 26,001 lbs. GVWR or more, can haul semi-trailers over 10,000 lbs.
- Requires 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Must follow all DOT, FMCSA, state, and local laws for commercial driving and waste transport.
DOT / FMCSA Requirements (Class A):
- Must pass a driver’s road test. 49 CFR 391.11(b)(7)
- Must pass all DOT drug and alcohol tests (Pre-employment, Post-accident, Random, Reasonable suspicion). 49 CFR Part 382 Subpart C
- Must consent to permit access to information in the Clearinghouse. 49 CFR 382.703
