Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a LA/LB Port Dispatcher based in Gardena, CA. The LA/LB Port Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, managing scheduling for drivers and shipments, and handling communication between clients, terminals and drivers. Key responsibilities include monitoring and resolving port-related issues, ensuring timely deliveries, addressing any arising challenges, and maintaining accurate records. The dispatcher will also collaborate with operations teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills to efficiently coordinate and schedule shipments.
- Proficiency in MS Office and TMS Trinium is a PLUS.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to manage driver coordination and client relations.
- Ability to work well in high-pressure situations and respond effectively to dynamic port activities and schedules.
- Familiarity with port operations and compliance regulations is highly advantageous.
- Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
