Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative (P&C)
Role Overview
Are you a licensed professional who loves helping people but wants the "uncapped" earning potential of a sales role? We are looking for a Licensed Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our Illinois agency.
In this role, you provide elite service to our current clients while identifying opportunities to grow our business. Your hourly base provides stability, but your drive to cross-sell and bind new lines will determine your ultimate take-home pay. An active Illinois Property & Casualty license is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Service: Resolve billing issues, process policy changes, and issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
- Claims Assistance: Act as the first point of contact for clients filing claims, providing guidance and reassurance.
- Sales & Growth: Identify gaps in current client portfolios and cross-sell additional lines of business (e.g., adding an auto policy to a home policy).
- Quoting & Binding: Use carrier portals to generate quotes and bind coverage for new and existing clients.
- Database Integrity: Maintain precise records in our Agency Management System to ensure compliance with Illinois state standards.
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Must possess an active Illinois Property & Casualty (P&C) Producer License.
- Experience: Previous experience in an insurance agency or high-volume service environment preferred.
- Sales Mindset: Comfortable pivoting from a service call into a sales conversation.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex coverage terms in plain English.
