SKILLS REQUIRED
Primary (Must-Have):
• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, and supplier negotiations, preferably from an automotive/aerospace background
• Experience with SAP, ERP systems, eSourcing tools, RFQ platforms, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience managing RFQs, supplier bids, purchase orders, vendor/master data, and sourcing documentation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, business, and financial skills.
• Experience with supplier contract administration, compliance documentation, pricing validation, and supplier performance management.
Secondary (Good to Have):
• Project management and/or contract management experience.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or process optimization methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree or professional certification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Project Management, or Contract Management.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you will support key sourcing and procurement initiatives within a global, execution-focused sourcing organization. The role will focus on optimizing the supplier base, executing transactional sourcing activities, maintaining supplier and contract data integrity, and supporting strategic initiatives aligned with the Global Strategic Sourcing Annual Operating Plan.
The position requires close collaboration with suppliers, internal stakeholders, Legal, Contracts, and cross-functional teams to support sourcing activities, supplier negotiations, compliance, and operational improvements.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Commodity Management
• Lead commodity management activities and supplier negotiations.
• Prepare, route, and upload Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
• Draft unilateral letters, novations, assignments, and assumptions in partnership with Legal and Contracts teams.
• Review supplier amendments for accuracy and compliance prior to execution.
• Prepare and submit Extended Terms Requests (ETRs), FAIR pull requests, supplier scorecards, SAP updates, and Fair & Reasonable Price Justifications (FRPJs).
Supplier & Sourcing Operations
• Develop and distribute RFQ packages, including drawings and supporting documentation.
• Execute vendor master additions, changes, and material master updates.
• Analyze part demand, forecasts, and historical receipt data.
• Maintain supplier documentation within contract management systems.
• Initiate Should-Cost Engineering (SCE) analysis requests.
• Extract and analyze platform-level sourcing data.
• Resolve Purchase Order (PO) and Supplier Portal issues.
• Support and analyze CID and BAA content assessments.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve sourcing, procurement, and contract-related issues.
