Job Title: Quality Engineer I
Location: Cincinnati, OH 45246
Duration: 4 Months
Hours: 8AM to 5PM || M-F
Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer I is a key member of the Quality team and plays an integral role in driving strong and effective quality systems. This role involves working closely with customers to resolve issues and support cost-saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and collaborate on customer issues.
- Utilize root cause analysis tools to identify possible causes of issues and bring forward solutions.
- Support quality standards (ISO9001, AS9100D, ISO17025, etc.) through participation in quality systems including documentation, internal and external audits, and calibration.
- Collaborate with peers to ensure alignment across teams.
- Participate in teams and site projects that drive improvements in efficiency and yield.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or technical field required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a metals or materials production environment preferred.
- General knowledge of systematic quality management systems required.
- ETQ experience required.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks on time.
- Effective communication skills with customers and employees.
- Ability to train.
- Solution-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Language:
- English.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to travel (10% or less).
- Desired experience: Around 8 years as a Quality Engineer.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit.
- Frequently required to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls and to talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Work Environment:
- Required to wear proper PPE.
- Occasionally exposed to low concentrations of fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Exposure levels are within limits established by federal and state regulatory bodies.
- Noise level is usually low.
- Travel requirements may be 25–50% within the first 6 months.
