This role supports business operations by optimizing transportation planning, ensuring regulatory compliance, controlling logistics costs, and maintaining high service levels. Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary logistics point of contact for assigned business operationsValidate transport requests and required delivery timelines to ensure on-time deliveryPlan and optimize equipment load configurations to maximize utilizationSelect cost-effective transportation modes and approved carriers or 3PLsPlan truck routings, consolidate shipments, and optimize backloads to reduce costsMonitor shipment execution and manage deviations while keeping stakeholders informedManage fixed schedules and regional milk runsIssue work orders with appropriate cost approvals prior to each moveTrack logistics milestones and maintain accurate system recordsAssess carrier performance for on-time pickup and deliveryEnsure compliance with transportation regulations, company policies, and QHSE standardsCoordinate with import/export teams to ensure smooth logistics executionIdentify logistics improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiativesReport deviations and corrective actions in the business systemParticipate in performance and service quality review meetings
