Skills Required
Primary (Must-Have):
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 5–8 years of relevant experience
• In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information
• Strong understanding of learning and development methodologies and best practices
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
• Ability to recommend effective delivery methods for knowledge transfer

• Ability to work within broad guidelines and policies

Position Overview
The Learning & Development Consultant (Technical Trainer) will support the creation, management, and optimization of training programs across learning resources, curriculum development, and learning platform operations. This role will partner closely with leadership, subject matter experts, trainers, and business stakeholders to develop effective learning solutions and improve training outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication, organizational, and consulting skills while driving continuous improvement in learning initiatives and delivery methods.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Assist with the creation and management of training programs across learning resources, curriculum development, and learning platform operations
• Partner with leadership to establish performance objectives for staff and track progress
• Identify subject matter experts to support content creation and educational exercise development
• Recommend appropriate delivery methods to optimize knowledge transfer and learner engagement
• Develop strong relationships with business partners, managers, consultants, and trainers
• Assess third-party training programs and audit trainers on delivery effectiveness
• Monitor course and training resource utilization to ensure departmental training needs are met
• Stay current on learning industry trends, methodologies, and best practices and apply them
Effectively
• Manage communication and marketing plans for new training courses and updates
• Apply standard principles and procedures to complete complex assignments and provide innovative solutions
• Coach team members and share expertise across multiple job disciplines within the function
• Lead by example and model behaviors aligned with organizational values
• Build consensus and influence stakeholders to achieve agreement on training initiatives
• Support customer, operational, project, and service-related activities across teams
• Explain difficult or sensitive information clearly and professionally
