Job Title: Instructional Designer
đź“Ť Location: Hybrid 4 days/week in Birmingham, AL
Duration: 12 months contract
Note: Only looking for 3-5 years of experience as pay rate is low on this role.
POSITION SUMMARY
The instructional designer will leverage their instructional design and multimedia skills to analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain training curriculum and content, including eLearning modules, facilitator guides, job aids, and other resources that enhance organizational learning and outcomes.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Experience with authoring tools (such as Articulate 360), animation software, and/or other similar development tools required.
- Training experience (formal or informal) in power generation, power delivery, transmission, construction, or associated fields preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, narration software, and implementation of AI software in an instructional design environment preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
- Experience managing projects is required.
- Experience/proficiency with Learning Management System strongly preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Engage in curriculum planning and development, training design and development. Includes specification of learner outcomes (goals and objectives), content specification and design, selection of instructional delivery formats, strategies and media, materials, and ensuring continuity from course to course.
