POSITION OVERVIEW
Pediatric Phlebotomy Experience
- Pediatric Phlebotomy Procedures
- Finger stick*
- Heel stick*
- Minimum Experience Required: 2 years
- Certifications Required: BLS, CPT, CPT I (Active in the State of California)
- Floating Requirement: Traveler may float between like units and sister facilities as needed
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures safely and accurately.
Collect blood specimens using syringe, vacutainer, finger stick, and heel stick methods.
Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of specimens.
Prepare patients for blood collection procedures and explain the process clearly.
Maintain proper post-venipuncture site care to ensure patient safety and comfort
