SKILLS REQUIRED

Primary (Must-Have):

• 10 years of professional software engineering and backend development experience

• Strong development experience with Scala and TypeScript

• Hands-on proficiency with Java for backend services

• Solid expertise working with NoSQL databases, specifically DynamoDB and DocumentDB

• In-depth knowledge and production experience utilizing Redis for caching and data structures

Secondary (Good to Have):

• Familiarity with comprehensive automated testing processes, test reviews, and analysis

• Experience setting up or configuring software applications and runtime operating systems

• Strong adaptability to varied software development concepts, paradigms, and design patterns

• Ability to exercise high creativity and technical latitude in solving complex architectural puzzles

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an elite, senior-level Backend Engineer with 10 years of experience to join our engineering function onsite in Greenwood Village, CO. In this role, you will design, modify, develop, and implement complex backend software applications utilizing a modern tech stack featuring Redis, TypeScript, Scala, and Java. Operating with a wide degree of creativity and technical latitude, the incumbent will rely on extensive industry experience to plan and accomplish critical project milestones, directly contributing to our robust cloud-data ecosystems.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, modify, develop, and write clean, scalable code to implement resilient backend software applications and core architectures

• Develop high-performance data microservices utilizing Scala, TypeScript, and Java while optimizing database interactions with DynamoDB, DocumentDB, and Redis

• Support, configure, and install critical software applications and required operating systems to ensure environment parity and seamless deployments

• Participate actively in the end-to-end testing process through rigorous test reviews, behavioral analysis, and the witnessing and certification of software quality

• Coordinate and execute a variety of complicated technical tasks, relying on deep architectural judgment and domain experience to achieve aggressive milestones on schedule
