PROGRAM SUMMARY
The PACE Energy and Environmental Services Department provides Home Energy Assistance, Weatherization and other services to low-income residents of the greater Los Angeles area. These programs provide utility bill assistance and install measures to help improve the energy efficiency, safety and comfort of eligible homes or multiple unit residences. https://pacela.org/our-work/energy/
POSITION DESCRIPTION
PACE is seeking for motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our Energy Department as an Assessor & Quality Assurance Inspector. In this role, the individual will visit homes, talk with residents, and help identify ways to make homes safer, more comfortable, and more energy efficient. The focus of this position is to work directly with Korean-speaking communities in Los Angeles. No prior experience is necessary we will provide full training.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit homes to assess energy efficiency needs.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating home energy services.
- Document inspections and prepare simple reports.
- Educate families about energy-saving programs and benefits.
- Ensure safety and program guidelines are followed.
Qualifications
- Must be fluent in Korean (spoken and written).
- High School Diploma or GED or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel).
- Valid drivers license, reliable transportation, and insurance.
- Willingness to complete paid training.
Additional Requirements
- Must satisfactorily pass background and employment/reference check
- COVID vaccination required; must have two-dose series of Pfizer or Moderna or a single-dose of Johnson & Johnson. Those that need a medical or religious exemption must reach out separately.
