Speech Language Pathologists Pacific Autism Center for Education is currently searching for the right candidate to fit our SLP Therapy Department. The incumbent must have at least 4 years in the field with the minimum of 1 year working with the moderate to severe developmentally disabled population, preferably Autism. The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing services to individuals that have been diagnosed with moderate to severe autism ages 2 to 21years of age. In addition they will be responsible for implementing strategies to promote cognitive, academic communication and language, behavioral and social and physical development for the population being served. Essential Functions Include But Are Not Limited to The Following: • Conducts screening and testing of students to determine goals • Prepares assessment reports • Actively participates in the development of the student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) for all students at PACE • Consults with teacher on follow-through activities for students within their case load. • Observes and works directly with students either on an individual or group towards their communication goals. • Develops curriculum for student based on assessment of communication goals • Modifies the student’s program based on the periodic evaluations to help curve behaviors and promote communication goals • Maintains students’ speech records • Participates in staff development programs • Meets with parents regarding their child’s progress as requested • Performance other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: • Must have CCC’s (CFY’s will be considered depending on available positions) • Must have appropriate California Credential • At least 1 year Experience with Autism and other developmental disabilities • Must be able to understand the principles and techniques of language, speech and hearing services with emphasis on Moderate to Severe DD populations • Must have strong knowledge of PECS • Must be able to work in a fast and dynamic environment • Must be able to work in a team oriented environment • Must have proven organizational capabilities

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
