Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical assessment and treatment services to assigned clients. These services may include:
- Individual, Group, and Family Therapy
- Clinical assessments
- Treatment planning
- Crisis intervention /Safety planning
- Classroom Observations
- Provide Professional Development to school staff (as requested)
- Deliver parent education and workshops (as requested)
- Treatment monitoring, evaluation, termination, and referral
- Consultation with teachers and other school personnel.
- Maintains demonstrated proficiency in child-oriented psychotherapies and childhood disorders by submitting documentation of continuing education in this area.
- Completes all required documentation in a timely manner and ensures maintenance of complete clinical record at all times for each assigned client as directed by agency policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
- Completing clinical psychosocial assessments for each new client within required timelines and updating assessments on an annual basis
- Completing initial and subsequent Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs) within required timelines
- Documenting and filing progress notes within 48 hours of each psychotherapy / counseling session
- Obtaining and maintaining accurate client personal data, consents, and relevant collateral documentation
- Responding to failed appointments by clients with documented outreach and/or timely notification of discharge
- Completing all required discharge documentation within required timelines
- Maintaining all assigned client mental health charts in good and complete order.
- Participate in weekly individual or group supervision if you are a licensed graduate counselor or social worker (e.g., LGPC, LMSW).
- Attends weekly staff meetings to remain abreast of program issues, policy and procedure changes, and training content. Participates in agency required meetings and in-service programs.
- Performs all duties in compliance with program policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Clinical supervision (individual and group)-included with full-time position.
- Trainings, CEUs and certification opportunities such as CBT, TFCBT, DBT and others-included with full-time position.

- Have at least 1-3 years’ experience in the counseling/psychology/social work field.
- Some experience counseling school-aged and adolescent students.
- Some experience with facilitating groups and working with families.
Must have one of the following licenses, in good standing, in the State of Maryland:
- Licensed Certified Professional Counselor (LCPC)
- Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C)
- Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC)
- Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW)
- Bi-Lingual in French and/or Spanish encouraged to apply.
