AUXILIARY PROGRAMS COORDINATOR

Pace Academy is an independent college preparatory school in Atlanta, with an enrollment of 1,150 students in Pre-First through 12th grade. The school strives to provide an environment that cultivates a spirit of service, respect for diversity, global citizenship, and character. Our commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture is reflected in a community in which differences are embraced, and students, parents, faculty and staff have a sense of belonging.

We’re looking for an Auxiliary Programs Coordinator who’s equal parts organizer, problem-solver, and young-at-heart to help coordinate our after-school programs, summer camps, and Campus Store. This position reports to the Director of Auxiliary Programs and works closely with the Auxiliary Programs team.

What You’ll Be Doing

Think of this role as the ultimate behind-the-scenes conductor—keeping all the moving parts running smoothly while creating great experiences for students and the Pace community.

  • Help run the day-to-day logistics of after-school programs and summer camps, including working directly with students

  • Assist with supporting and supervising part-time staff and program leaders to keep programs engaging and organized

  • Keep things running smoothly with various databases for student registration, attendance, and billing

  • Be a friendly, helpful point of contact for parent questions

  • Assist with managing Campus Store operations—inventory, sales, and customer service

  • Assist with email communications

  • Pitch in wherever needed (because no two days are exactly the same!)

What Makes You a Great Fit

You’re someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and genuinely enjoys working with kids—especially elementary-age students.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • A natural problem-solver with great judgment

  • Energetic, flexible, and ready to jump in wherever needed

  • Patient, positive, and professional

  • Comfortable supervising people and juggling multiple priorities

  • Tech-savvy (Google Workspace and databases; CampBrain is a plus!)

  • Experienced in camps, after-school programs, or similar environments

  • Customer service experience

The Details

  • Full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position

  • Daily schedule from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, typically either 8:30 - 5:00 or 9:30 - 6:00; the scheduled hours may vary throughout the year

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, some college preferred

  • Prior experience working with elementary-age students and programs

  • Prior experience with customer service preferred

  • Proficiency in G-Suite and database systems preferred

  • Experience supervising part-time staff preferred

  • Must be punctual, self-motivated, and committed to the work schedule

  • Ability to occasionally work beyond 40 hours per week, including occasional nights and weekends

Working Conditions

  • Normal office work environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop and kneel

  • Work conditions include working outdoors in cold/hot temperatures

  • Light to moderate lifting up to 30 pounds may be required
