About Us:
Pacagen (pacagen.com) is a house of brands focused on disrupting consumer industries through biotechnology-backed products built by our in-house research lab. Our first brand and products help with allergies to pets and dust that ~100K customers use in our second year on the market. Our second brand is launching in the summer of 2026.
We are a venture-funded startup and founded by experienced entrepreneurs who have built and sold nine-figure businesses before. We are backed by some of the best venture firms in the world (Maveron, Khosla Ventures, Mars). We are seeking a technically curious, resourceful, and highly motivated web developer to join our team and help build, maintain, and optimize Pacagen’s digital experience across all web properties.
You will have the opportunity to share the online presence of a rapidly growing consumer biotechnology brand. You will support ongoing development of Pacagen’s website, landing pages, and digital funnels to ensure seamless user experience. The ideal candidate is someone with strong fundamentals in web development, a high degree of adaptability and eagerness to learn, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. You will be mentored by our CEO and work directly with him, the Chief of Staff, Head of Business Development, and Lead Designer. This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to take on increasing responsibility as the company rapidly scales.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain customer Shopify pages, themes, and sections (Liquid / Javascript / HTML / CSS)
- Collaborate with our design and marketing teams to improve UI / UX and increase conversions
- Develop hypotheses for improving on-page metrics, plan and execute A/B tests on our website, and analyze results to optimize the customer experience funnel
- Optimize site speed and resolve performance, checkout, or other technical issues
- Support general website development and continuously learn new skills as needed
- Promote our online presence through SEO refinement
- Assist in marketing efforts and contribute creative designs to advertising campaigns
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree with computer science knowledge and relevant coursework experience preferred
- Strong experience in HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Track record of high-quality work
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn
- Doesn’t take “good enough” for an answer.
- Constantly trying to improve themselves
Why work with us?
We’re a fast-paced startup that is delivering life-changing products. We have products that you can believe in and a team that works hard to make sure that we can get those products into the hands of the people that need them most. Working at Pacagen will be an exciting growth opportunity for your career. You’ll get exposure to world-class partners, mentors, and innovative people from every field.
Why NOT work with us?
You’ll notice that the phrase “fast-paced” is in this job description multiple times. Building an amazing, profitable company in a few years is not easy and we aren’t here to pretend like it is (believe us, we’ve done this before). Startups are stressful and not made for everyone, but on the flip-side extremely rewarding. The best performers get a career boost more drastic than anything they could imagine, but not everyone is fit for the job.
