Wellness Associates work in a dispensary setting and are responsible for the compliant distribution of medical cannabis products. This includes answering inquiries, processing cash and debit transactions, utilizing a point-of-sale system, and staying up to date on current menu offerings. Wellness Associates will support check in, cash out, online order fulfillment, inventory/cash auditing, and general upkeep of the facility.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer to Pennsylvania Medical Cannabis patients by answering questions, providing recommendations, and completing point of sale transactions quickly and accurately
- Follow all Department of Health regulations and company Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance at all times
- Maintain the highest level of patient and company confidentiality at all times
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all company products
- Complete opening and closing duties including cash auditing, inventory auditing, and cleaning
- Ensure that all duties are performed in accordance with company, safety, and sanitation standards
- Ask relevant questions to determine the best medicine for the patients' concerns
- Answers questions and provides general information and guidance for patients regarding policies and procedures as well as laws and regulations, communicating with sensitivity and respect
- Maintains accurate inventory control and proper rotation
- Performs other duties as assigned
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- All candidates selected for employment will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug screening prior to their start date. Employment is contingent upon passing these screenings.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year of retail experience preferred
- Prior POS experience preferred; Ability to learn POS system is required
- Cannabis knowledge preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and customer service skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
- Ability to recommend products to patients
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is a labor-intensive position in a retail setting that requires candidates to be able to:
- Stand for extended periods of time, up to 10 hours per shift
- Walk throughout shift, frequently meeting or exceeding 10,000 steps per day
- Reach, Stretch, Stoop, Bend, Crouch, and Squat
- Read and interpret order forms with product names, quantities, prices, and discounts accurately
- Lift product cases up to 50lbs
