The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations, including inventory control, purchasing coordination, shipping and receiving, and staff supervision. This role ensures efficient processes, accurate inventory management, and timely support for field technicians and company operations, with a strong focus on plumbing-related materials, tools, and equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Warehouse & Purchasing
Manage and track inventory for all plumbing, HVAC, and related parts, equipment, and tools (inbound/outbound).
Process and expedite purchase orders; verify receipts and resolve supplier discrepancies.
Approve payments after validating system documentation.
Work with local reps to align purchasing systems and maintain stock par levels, particularly for plumbing supplies and fixtures.
Update barcode systems and ensure pricing accuracy from vendor receipts.
Coordinate with Customer Service and Technicians to ensure timely scheduling and part availability.
Track tool usage (including specialized plumbing tools) and maintain accurate location records.
Manage heavy equipment usage and maintenance tracking.
Perform light facility maintenance and maintain security measures.
Maintain fire extinguishers and other safety equipment.
Process product warranties, credits, and labor recovery claims.
Fleet & Technician Support
Assist with truck inventory management and monitor par levels, including plumbing-related tools and materials.
Supervise warehouse staff supporting field technicians with deliveries, plumbing fixture staging, and equipment setup.
Oversee Geotab installation/removal and maintenance records.
Maintain fleet and heavy equipment cleanliness, branding, and regular servicing.
Manage uniforms, DMV/vehicle registration, and DOT compliance.
Support purchasing, repair, and maintenance of vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment.
Safety Management
Lead OSHA compliance programs and safety initiatives, including plumbing-specific safety protocols.
Coordinate safety training during team meetings.
Partner with HR (e.g., ADP) to ensure compliance with regulations.
Inspect tools/equipment and maintain inspection records.
Ensure all equipment meets OSHA standards.
Facility Support
Maintain office and facility cleanliness inside and out.
Oversee waste and recycling.
Perform supply pickup and delivery runs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage staff handling parts, warehouse operations, fleet, equipment, and facilities.
Enforce company policies and compliance with legal standards.
Provide training, coaching, and performance management.
Qualifications
3–5 years’ experience in warehouse, fleet, or facility operations, with plumbing industry experience strongly preferred.
Proven leadership and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate across departments and adapt to shifting priorities.
Experience with Service Titan or similar software preferred.
