Role Summary A Technical Business Analyst bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical development teams. They analyze business needs, translate requirements into technical specifications, and ensure technical solutions align with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and functional specifications.
Translate complex business requirements into clear technical user stories, system flow diagrams, and data models for development teams.
Analyze existing technical systems, databases, and workflows to identify areas for optimization, integration, or process improvement.
Facilitate product backlog grooming, release planning, and agile sprint ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban).
Define acceptance criteria and collaborate with QA teams to support user acceptance testing (UAT).
Act as the primary liaison between software engineering teams, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SQL for data querying, RESTful APIs, JSON/XML, and system architecture principles.
Methodologies: Strong background in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall software development life cycles (SDLC).
Tools: Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI).
Analytical Skills: Demonstrated capability in data analysis, root-cause analysis, and process modeling (BPMN).
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences.
Education & Experience: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field, plus 3 years of technical analysis experience.
