SHIFT LEADER

P.S. Taco Company is looking for a dependable, motivated Shift Leader to join our team!
The Shift Leader is a hands-on leadership position responsible for helping assigned shifts run smoothly while maintaining our standards for service, food quality, cleanliness, and teamwork.
Working directly under the Assistant Manager and General Manager, the Shift Leader provides direction to team members and helps manage day-to-day shift operations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead assigned shifts and provide direction to team members
- Help coordinate front- and back-of-house operations
- Ensure opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and side work are completed
- Monitor guest service, food quality, order accuracy, and ticket times
- Address routine guest concerns and escalate larger issues to management
- Assist with cash-handling and shift procedures
- Reinforce company policies, food safety, sanitation, and workplace standards
- Help train and coach team members
- Communicate staffing, product, equipment, or operational concerns to management
- Work alongside the team in FOH or BOH positions as needed and trained
- Assist with catering, food truck operations, festivals, and special events as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Restaurant or food-service experience preferred
- Leadership or trainer experience is a plus
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Confident providing direction and holding team members accountable
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to lead by example and work alongside the team
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability
Leadership & Growth
The Shift Leader works directly under the Assistant Manager, with the General Manager overseeing restaurant operations.
General Manager → Assistant Manager → Shift Leader → Team Members
This position is a great opportunity for someone ready to develop their leadership skills. Strong performers may be considered for future advancement into an Assistant Manager or other management position.
Day, evening, weekend, and occasional holiday availability are required.
