Job Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork to ensure every plate meets our high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and portion standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen line and prep areas
- Ensure food is properly stored, labeled, and rotated
- Work efficiently during busy service hours while maintaining quality
- Communicate clearly with other kitchen staff and servers
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with prep work, cleaning, and restocking as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred (especially in a fast-paced or Mexican-style restaurant)
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
- Food handler certification (or ability to obtain one)
