Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across the Eastern U.S. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and managing the full sales cycle for custom plastic bag and packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities throughout the Eastern U.S.
- Sell custom printed plastic bags and flexible packaging solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Collaborate with internal teams on pricing, production, and customer requirements
- Maintain accurate CRM activity and sales forecasts
- Travel within the territory as needed
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in the plastic packaging industry
- Proven success selling custom printed plastic bags or flexible packaging
- Strong new-business (hunter) sales background
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently across a large territory
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $60,000–$85,000 (based on experience)
- Commission plan with OTE of $80,000–$115,000
